You go around to visit Kathmandu in which the historic temple of Hindus ‘Pashupatinath Temple’ is situated where various rituals are done including cremation. Prayer flags and wheels in Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupa of Buddhism indicating religious harmony in Nepal. Moreover, Basantapur, Patan, and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares are the best examples for rich ancient culture through sculptures, temples and wood carvings.
Early morning view from Sarangkot followed by different cave visits, boating in Phewa lake, Begnas lake, Devi's fall, Peace pagoda, etc. are the major attractions of Pokhara you can do. Activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, mountain biking, rafting, etc gives unforgettable experiences and adventures to you.
First of all, we take you to Patan Durbar Square which is rich in ancient art and archeology. It is also listed in UNESCO world heritage site due to ancient sculptures, wood carvings, pagoda style temples and other structures which were built during the Malla period in the 1600s. Royal palace where Malla kings resided is the major attraction and Krishna Mandir, Bhimsen Temple, Vishwanath Temple as well as Taleju Bhawani Temple are in the vicinity of the Durbar Square. Now, we will take you to one of the oldest and largest Hindu temples which is also listed in UNESCO world heritage site ‘Pashupatinath Temple’. The time of its establishment is still being known to the world but the current form of the temple was constructed in 1692 CE. It is a collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions which takes you centuries back from the current technological world. You can see Bagmati River on the banks of which cremation ritual is performed.
After this we’ll take you to Boudhanath stupa which is also the latest Buddhists stupa in the world. You can see a lot of pilgrims walking in the clockwise direction around the giant stupa and turning the prayer wheels. You visit surrounding monasteries. Ghyoilisang Peace Park (also known as Buddha Peace Park) and its pond is only 2 min walk from Boudhanath and you’ll visit this park as well. A lot of souvenirs and handicrafts as well as Thangka paintings can be discovered in the Boudhanath area.
In the evening, you will have dinner and return to your hotel.
In the early morning, you drive to Pokhara which takes 5-6 hours from Kathmandu. Alternatively, you can fly to Pokhara which is 30 minutes long and capture beautiful mountain views. In the evening you can relax and have leisure time around the lakeside and do some boating.
In the early morning, you start your day with a drive to Sarangkot and a 45 min hike to Sarangkot to see the beautiful sunrise. In clear weather, the sun rays reflect and glisten all over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range making it look reddish brown which is very spectacular. Then, you head back to the hotel for breakfast.
After the sunrise view, visit the World Peace Pagoda, which is perched on a hill on Phewa Lake's southern shore. In addition to providing breathtaking views of the Pokhara valley and the Annapurna range, the pagoda is a representation of peace and prosperity. To get to the pagoda, you can take a boat over Phewa Lake.
Next, visit Devi's Fall, which is a natural waterfall located about 2km from the old bazaar area of Pokhara. The waterfall is named after a Swiss woman who fell into the waterfall and died in the 1960s. The water from the waterfall flows into a cave called the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, which is located nearby.
Visit the Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, which is close to Devi's Fall, to round up your journey. One of the longest caverns in Nepal, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The cave features a number of chambers, and one of the chambers houses a shrine to Lord Shiva. The cave also features a number of stunning stalactites and stalagmites.
Then, Fly back to Kathmandu in the evening.
